It’s hard to believe that the time off between winter WEF and the spring horse shows has come and gone. Now, it’s already summer.

I took a break at home in Colorado, finished my AP and final exams for my senior year and on May 18, 2021 – graduated from high school! Within hours of graduation, I was back on an airplane to Lexington, KY for the Kentucky Horse Shows spring competition.

Delia B is on fire as always, winning at 1.45 and always giving 100% +. I am delighted with the progress of Ferry Van Hoogeweg as he is jumping better and bolder every time we enter the ring – even tackling the 1.40s in the high juniors. Thanks to Katie and Henri Prudent, and careful development with Cat Driscoll, I have a new ride in the U25 jumpers – Amazing II. I can’t wait to get to know this mare better as she makes it all seem so easy (which we know, it’s not!). After the shows at KHP, spent some time in New Jersey to ride Cent and prep for one of my favorite shows – The Upperville Colt & Horse Show.

My big news is that I was accepted to The University of Miami Herbert School of Business as a Foote Honors Fellow. I have deferred my enrollment by a year and will start fall of 2022. Over the next 15 months, I’ll focus on the fall equitation championships, junior jumper championships and spending dedicated time toward my equestrian training and education with goals of becoming a professional and someday representing our country in international competition. It’s no joke that I still have a lot to learn, but I love every step of the journey and I am so grateful for the ups and downs that have made me who I am and brought me to this place and stage.

I am grateful to everyone who has helped me come so far, so fast.
